Account & Data Deletion

1. How to Request Account Deletion

Users of Nail German can request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data at any time through either of the following methods:

• In-App Request: Open Nail German, navigate to Settings > Account, and tap Delete Account.
• Email Request: Send an email from your registered account email address to support@nailgerman.app with the subject line "Delete Account Request".

2. Types of Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon receiving and verifying your deletion request, the following data is permanently purged from our servers:

• Authentication credentials (email address, password hash, and unique Supabase User ID).
• Cloud synchronization records and device identifiers.
• Study progress history (Leitner Ampel card states, question error logs, and mock exam results).

3. Data Retention Period & Exceptions

Account and study data are permanently deleted within 30 calendar days of receiving your request.

Statutory Exceptions: If you made an in-app purchase, anonymized transaction receipts and billing records are retained solely to comply with statutory accounting and tax retention obligations (e.g., German commercial law / HGB §257). No personal learning data is retained.
